Joannes Tobias Milder was a butcher, as was his son Theodorus. The latter
had a grocery and liquor store later on, and so did his offspring. The
other sons of Joannes Tobias were mostly farmers (one of them was a tobacco
farmer).
Joannes ancestors came from Germany (just across the river) and were coopers
