"I was born in Greeley, Nebraska. We moved from Greeley to North Dakota, Missouri, and Iowa. I started school in Missouri, and finished up at St. Mary's in Iowa City. I enlisted in the Army, June 18, 1942, and received a medical discharge Dec. 31, 1943."

"On Oct. 7, 1944 I married Joanna Frazier. I worked 35 years in building construction. We have seven sons,and 15 grandchildren. In 1984 I retired. My favorite pastimes now that I'm retired are hunting and fishing."
