WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 1, 1956 Snowy day. Went to Mass, Dampen the clothes-wrote to Pat & Sister Margaretta. Got dinner in good time-then Ed & Mary & Rosemary came for dinner. Ed went to Lyle Hurhbur sale Mary helped me get all the ironing done. Carol came out to go to the ball game. St. Mary's beat Muscatine 92 to 34

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 2, 1956 Went to Mass -wrote to Gene & Bro. John. Just worked around here then in the p.m. dad & I went down for confession and took clothes to the cleaners.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 3, 1956 Went to Mass & it was first Friday & St. Blaise day. I wrote to Pat and Gene, got a good dinner. Ben called, but didn't come out. Pretty cold weather. Pop inside all week.

SATURADAY FEBRUARY 4, 1956 Went to Mass, wrote to Pat & sent her check also wrote to Aunt Minnie. Paul & Lillian here for dinner. Lillian stirred up a cake for me and also put my hair up. Moe home for supper.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 5, 1956 All went to 7:30 Mass. Then I got a good dinner. Gertrude & Nick & family came down. They went to 11:00 Mass at St. Pat's. In P.M. Ben's came then Ben, Joann and the 3 little ones went to Gerald's. Pop & I Gertrude & Jimmy went to Sisters, as it was her company day. Paul's, Louise & Gerald's all there before us. Also Wilma when we were there. All of Ben's were here for supper also Nicholas made 17 in all.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 6, 1956 We went to Mass, sort of snowy, gloomy day, but I got my washing done. Was pretty tired, Pop went down town this morning and slept this P.M. Carol & Marilyn F came out after school and went to basketball game with us. St. Mary's beat Xavier of Dyersville 90-46

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7, 1956 Went to Mass Dampen the clothes and wrote to Pat & Gene & Minnie. Ironed in the P.M. pretty tired-Marilyn came out for supper looked at pictures in the eve.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 8, 1956 Went to Mass, wrote a letter to Myrtle-card to Ann & sent Gene & my insurance. Ed, Mary, & Rosemary came at noon for dinner. Mary stayed and did Louise's ironing and keho Linda for Lillian. Louise and I went to Mullherin's to see their new house and spend the P.M. Mrs. Yoder and Shirley also went.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 9, 1956 Went to Mass went to cleaners. Wrote to Gene, Pat, Bro. John & Minnie, and a card to Myrtle. Worked around her and did a little sewing. Kept little Frances, Gregory in the evening he was good.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 10,1956 Went to Mass, wrote a letter to Bessie. Feel awfully tired today. Kept Linda &Johnnie this P.M. Lyle's family came in the eve to wait for the girls. St. Mary's got beat by I.C. 75-66.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11, 1956 Went to Mass. Then down town in a.m. & to the Dr. Blood Pressure 205/94 got valentines and candy for the grandchildren. Moe came home and we went to Sister Margaretta in eve, also took slides along to show.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 12, 1956 Pop Moe & I went to 7:30 mass. Len & Marilyn went to 6:00. Dad Moe & I went to Ed's for dinner and supper for Rosemary's birthday had a nice time-home early.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 13, 1956 Went to mass felt pretty tough today-didn't get much done but write to Minnie, Pat, & Sister Margaretta and thank you to Father Puelter.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 14, 1956 Went to mass as usual feel better today-and did a big washing. Wrote to Gene, heard from Pat that they think they are going to El Paso.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 15,1956 Ash Wednesday. Went to mass, Louise & Charles went with us-I wrote to Pat & then fixed a pair of pants for Charles & did other mending. Rested a while in the P.M. Len home tonight, awful tired.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 16,1956 Went to mass wrote to Minnie a card & letter to Bro. John & Gene. Did all my ironing-was pretty tired. Pop peeled potatoes & ground meat for supper as he was in the house all day.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17, 1956 Went to mass wrote to Pat. Called Mrs., Kasper & found out she was coming in to visit me today. Lillian came & left the 2 little ones hare while she shopped. We had a real nice time. Pop & Mr. Kasper went to a sale. We went to stations in the eve-Gerald & Pauline & Frances was here when we got home.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 18, 1956 Went to mass wrote to Gene. Worked hard all forenoon-Pop & Paul hauled oats that pop bought at the sale. Paul was here for dinner. In the P.M. dad and I went to Confession and got groceries and I bought birthday cards. Worked late at night. Len & Marilyn went to Nicks to stay all night.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 19, 1956 Pop & I & Moe went to 7:30 mass. Paul's went to 9:00 then stayed for dinner. Ben's came about 10:40 & went to 11:00 mass at St.Pat's. We had 20 for diner had a nice time, played cards. Then Pop, I, Moe, Ben, Mickey, Paul Lillian and Ronny all went to stations. Ben's stayed for supper and Wilma and Clarence came in the eve, so we played cards again in the eve.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 20, 1956 Went to 7:30 mass. Pop hauled oats down and weighed it & got the truck empty for Paul. Then we went down town, as I had to go to Dr. for Blood Pressure check up 175/90 weight 197 got pills to help reduce some. Bad news about Aunt Minnie, she is much worse again.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 21, 1956 Went to mass wrote letters to Gene, Harold, Joann & a card to Wilma. Did my washing pop hung out a basketful for me, tired as usual.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 22, 1956 Went to mass Washington's Birthday. No mail today. Dad & I went to Ed's right after mass and had breakfast there & helped them paper their front room. I was awfully tired. We got home in time to get Len's supper & then go to Devotions.

THURSDAY FEBRUARY 23, 1956 Went to mass. Louise, Carl & Charles left at 2:30 a.m. for Florida. I did my ironing today, also mending. Pop went down town and brought bible for Ben to give Joann for birthday.

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 24, 1956 Went to mass, Joann & the 3 little ones were here before we went to mass. Then das got Ben & brought him out for dinner. Then they went to see about the car Ben bought from the Reynolds. Had Johnnie & Linda here in the P.M. Awful tired went to Stations in the eve-foggy and rainy.

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 25,1956 Went to mass-Moe came home for breakfast nice day. The Nicholas's came at noon for dinner also Len & Fritz here for dinner. Moe, Gertrude & Nick went to Colfax in P.M. to look at a Nursing Home. We kept the 2 boys, they got back at 9:00 P.M. St. Mary's won the Sectional Tournament, Iowa beat Minnesota.

SUNDAY FEBRUARY 26,1956 Moe, dad & I went to 7:30 mass, also Len & Marilyn. Gertrude & Nick went to 9:00 they were here all day and for supper. Paul's here in the P.M. then we went to the Devotions at 4:00. Folks went home early.

MONDAY FEBRUARY 27, 1956 Went to mass, Lillian & the children here today. I did my washing. She hung out a basket full for me. Marilyn F. & Carol D. came out and stayed all night as they were having retreat. Iowa beat NorthWestern.

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 28, 1956 Sent for pens, wrote to Gene. Went to mass-brought Bobby & Rita out after mass to keep them while Libb & Lyle went to Dentist. Then we went down town, I had to go to Dr. for check up Blood pressure 190/98-weight 195 1/2 I did all my ironing in the P.M. Pop went with Paul and Lillian to High School Meeting.

WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 29, 1956 Went to mass. Wrote to Pat and Minnie. Pop went to a sale got back in time for us to go to Novena-brought Marilyn F. & Carol D. home to go to basketball game tonight-St. Mary's beat Cascade 83-55.
