THURSDAY, MAR. 1, 1934 - Sewed - made Paul 2 shirts, Elizabeth ironed - made Baby 2 dresses in the evening

FRIDAY, MAR. 2, 1934 - Raining in the morning - Went to Hall in the afternoon. Roads pretty heavy - didn't go to devotions.

SATURDAY, MAR. 3, 1934 - Didn't feel very good got ready for the dinner at Hall made 12 qt. mince meat.

SUNDAY, MAR. 4, 1934 - Went to Mass - Ed had to make 3 trips to Church - Fine weather done well with Dinner - (Felt very miserable.)

MONDAY, MAR. 5, 1934 - Papa went to town- Mr. Schooley died. Ed was sick, got the girls letter, talking about Eleanor starting to work for Miss Preston.

TUESDAY, MAR. 6, 1934 - Washed- Ed better- Leo & Wilmas's baby born.

WEDNESDAY, MAR. 7, 1934 - Canned 14 qt. beef. Leo came to tell about the new girl. Papa & I went to Schooley's funeral.

THURSDAY, MAR. 8, 1934 - Elizabeth ironed, I went to the Altar & Rosary Society meeting at Hotel (?). Felt pretty good.

FRIDAY, MAR. 9, 1934 - Snowed- we baked bread I sewed some, started to make Leonard his little overall - Papa went to meeting. Ed, Elizabeth, Paul, Maurice, Lawrence & Gertrude to church.

SATURDAY, MAR. 10, 1934 - Papa took the kids to Church. Ed helped haul hay in the P.M. went to Muscatine in evening. Girls sent me a bottle of medicine.

SUNDAY, MAR. 11, 1934 - I stayed home from mass. Papa, Ed & I went to Brugmans in P.M. Dexters, Grandma, Bessie Phineas & Junior were here in evening.

MONDAY, MAR. 12, 1934 - Papa went to town, got medicine from the Dr. for me- got the wood saw- the folks sawed wood, ground chicken feed in the P.M.

TUESDAY, MAR. 13, 1934 - Sent letter to girls. Uncle Reuben here to help with wood. Washed.

WEDNESDAY, MAR. 14, 1934 - Uncle Reuben here. Baby & I went to Whites in the afternoon.

THURSDAY, MAR. 15, 1934 - Sent letter to Mary. Reuben here in afternoon. Ed & Papa went to Muscatine in P.M. Got new radio. Pie social in Hall in the evening.

FRIDAY, MAR. 16, 1934 - Sent card to girls - Ed sent to Bernard W. Went to devotions in the evening.

SATURDAY, MAR. 17, 1934 - Raining & snowing in the forenoon. Dance in the evening at Masonic Hall- Ed- Papa & I went home at 12.

SUNDAY, MAR. 18, 1934 - Elizabeth stayed home from Mass. I had dinner with (?oMamma). Folks came up for holy hour. Ed W., Bernard W., Stephen B. & Ray B. were here in afternoon & evening.

MONDAY, MAR. 19, 1934 - Mrs. White very sick. We went to Leo's in the evening. Aunt Anna, Henry & Hubert came for clover seed. Charley King came over to listen to the radio letter from the girls.

TUESDAY, MAR. 20, 1934 - Washed, went to meeting in evening at Mrs. Staats. Stopped at Leo's on way into town.

WEDNESDAY, MAR. 21, 1934 - Sent letter to Mrs.Owen. Went to see Mrs. White in the afternoon, had very nice visit.

THURSDAY, MAR. 22, 1934 - Men sawed wood Charley King helped. Went over to Leo's for a little visit.

FRIDAY, MAR. 23, 1934 - Went to devotions in the evening. Papa stayed home. Took beans & parsnips up for Sunday dinner.

SATURDAY, MAR. 24, 1934 - Went to West Liberty in the morning helped clean & dust church. Girls came home in the evening.

SUNDAY, MAR. 25, 1934 - All went to Mass but Maurice. Dinner went over fairly good. Dexters & Smiths here in the evening - (Mrs. White pretty low).

MONDAY, MAR. 26, 1934 - Had a bad cold - men went to Muscatine, got new radio tube. Saw Louise driving Mrs. Huertleys car.

TUESDAY, MAR. 27, 1934 - Washed, called on Whites for a while, didn't get to see Mrs. White. Ed hired to Frank Kaalberg. Ed hurt his leg.

WEDNESDAY, MAR. 28, 1934 - Sent card to Louise & Mrs. Owen - Ed some better - Papa went to Muscatine in p.m. West Liberty in a.m.

THURSDAY, MAR. 29, 1934 - Sent letter to Mary. Helped clean church in p.m. on one there but Mrs. Reuss. Anna & Mary there in the morning.

FRIDAY, MAR. 30, 1934 - Got ready for bake sale, went to devotions in the evening - rained and snowed some.

SATURDAY, MAR. 31, 1934 - Stayed in town for bake sale - got along very good, had dinner & supper with mother.
